Table of Contents
Get creative with your social media assets in Sprout by adding images directly from Canva! To provide efficiency and eliminate the need to manually search through folders for media, you can choose from two seamless integration methods:
- Within Sprout: Connect your personal Canva account directly to Sprout, then browse and select designs through the asset picker available in the Compose Window
- Within Canva: Create or manage content while working directly in your Canva Pro account and export draft posts to Sprout using Canva’s Sprout Social add-on
Canva Design Importer Integration in Sprout Compose
This option allows you to connect your personal Canva account to Sprout and then browse, select, and import designs directly within the Compose Window, all without leaving Sprout!
Please note: this integration applies to an individual Sprout user and is not an account-wide connection. Each user in a Sprout account must establish their own connection to a Canva account within their integration settings.
Follow the steps below to integrate your Canva account within the Compose Window
1. Open the integration settings and start the Canva connection
- Navigate to the integration settings page in Sprout.
- Click Connect for Canva.
- You’ll be redirected to Canva to continue the authorization flow.
2. Authorize Sprout to access your Canva account
- In Canva, click Allow to approve the connection.
- Once approved, your Canva account is connected to Sprout
- You’re all set to start composing your post!
3. Compose a post and select the Canva button
- In Compose, click the camera icon to Upload Media and select Canva as the source
- Select whether you’re uploading an image or video.
- Browse your Canva design assets directly from Sprout.
- Use search to find specific files, such as searching for cat to surface matching designs.
- Select the asset(s) you want to import into your post.
4. Import Canva assets into the Sprout post
- When you select a Canva design, Sprout imports the images contained in that design file.
- The imported assets then appear in the post inside Sprout.
- This lets you reuse Canva-created content without manually downloading and re-uploading files.
